Job Title: Procurement Manager

Company: A global manufacturer and supplier of components to the automotive sector.
Job Overview:
The Procurement Manager will oversee the purchasing of goods and services for the company, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with company policies. The role includes developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing a team of purchasing agents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.
* Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
* Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
* Oversee and manage the procurement processes and supply chain activities.
* Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
* Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.
* Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
* Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
* Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
* Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
* Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements.
* Manage a team of procurement officers and purchasing agents. (5)
* Ensure compliance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement.
* Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.
* Talent in negotiations and networking.
* Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
* Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
* Experience in collecting and analysing data.
* Strong leadership capabilities.
* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
* (Any specific certifications required, such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)).
Desirable Skills:
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
* Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
* Resilience, with the ability to cope under pressure and meet tight deadlines
