Reporting to the Senior Buyer, the Junior Strategic Buyer will support the Purchasing function by creating
Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages of work, obtaining technical data such as drawings and models,
identifying cost reduction opportunities in addition to other activities. Complementary Description
Creation of RFQ packages
· Downloading technical data
· Review and approval of technical drawings
· Management of technical queries with Engineering
· Update of ERP system
· Report population
· Creation and management of department KPI's / Metrics
· General support to Purchasing team

of the role. Job Requirements
5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including Maths and English, A-C grade
Engineering Degree
Read and understand engineering drawings
Demonstrable experience in problem solving techniques
Specificity of the job
· Description of the team(s): Member of the Commodity team within Purchasing.
· Management of technical data within the Purchasing team.
· Creation of RFQ packages of work.
· Potential travel requirements (UK / International). Number of countries where Safran is located
