What you'll be doing
As part of our facility-based safety case team, you'll support a wide variety of projects for both our internal and external customers. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll define, implement and deliver innovative solutions to complex problems. This will involve providing specialist safety case advice, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and generating the necessary documentation to meet safety case requirements.

Role Overview: As a Safety Case Manager, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining safety on a nuclear licensed site. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and manage safety cases, ensuring that operations adhere to strict safety protocols. Here's what we're looking for in an ideal candidate:

Attention to Detail: You possess a keen eye for detail. Safety cases involve intricate documentation, hazard assessments, and risk analyses. Your ability to meticulously review and validate safety-related information is essential. Safety Expertise: You have a solid understanding of safety cases and their development. This includes knowledge of radiation, contamination, and criticality hazards. You'll work closely with experts to identify control measures and substantiate their effectiveness. Effective Communication: As a Safety Case Manager, you'll interact with operators, customers, regulators, and other stakeholders. Clear and concise communication is vital. Whether it's explaining safety procedures or presenting findings, your verbal and written skills will be put to the test. Continuous Learning: Safety practices evolve, and staying up to date is crucial. We value candidates who have a hunger for learning and seek innovative solutions to complex safety challenges. Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years' worth of UK residency). Role Overview: As an SCA, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring safety case processes are effectively implemented in operational facilities. Here's what we're looking for:

Knowledge of Safety Case Processes: You should have a solid understanding of safety case development and implementation. Familiarity with nuclear safety protocols is advantageous but not mandatory. Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the necessary skills. Attention to Detail: SCAs must meticulously review safety documentation, hazard assessments, and risk analyses. Your keen eye for detail will contribute to maintaining safety standards. Transferable Skills: If you've worked in a regulated industry (such as oil, gas, or transportation), your skills may be transferable.
