Children’s Home Registered Manager Location: Oakenclough Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are recruiting on behalf of a private residential care provider for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed Ofsted-rated GOOD children's home in Oakenclough. Develop and Retain a Strong Team: Work closely with the recruitment team to hire the right people for your home. Ensure new staff complete inductions and personal development plans, and retain a strong team to provide consistency for the young people. Foster Consultation: Set up systems for young people to share their views on the care they receive. Allocate Key Workers: Assign a dedicated Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan. Maintain High Standards: Oversee and monitor the home's quality of care, ensuring compliance with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose. Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for resolving any complaints or child protection concerns. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to promote the well-being of young people. Participate in Meetings: Contribute to care planning and review meetings as required. Ensure Safety: Maintain the highest standards of care and safeguarding for children in your service. Essential Requirements: Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in residential care for children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years. Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred, or a willingness to enrol within 6 months of starting the role. Knowledge: A solid understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements. Skills: Strong planning, organisation, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership skills. Communication: Confident in verbal and written communication. Trauma-Informed Care: Knowledge of managing the needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, including challenging behaviour. Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required. Why Choose This Role?
