The role

Our team is searching for an experienced person who can manage a team of 2nd and 3rd line infrastructure engineers that work across Cloud, Applications, Development and Services.

  • Lead a team of 5 highly experienced engineers who support, build and troubleshoot the Kynetec Cloud, Development and Application environment.
  • Ensure the Infrastructure team is operating efficiently and effectively, are motivated and responsive to business needs.
  • Provide support to other Operations and Research teams and act as a point of escalation when required.

Summary of Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Kynetec infrastructure team. Mentor and train individuals within the team as necessary. Provide advice, guidance and support to those people to help them to grow and thrive in their career.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on the various platforms & services utilized within Kynetec.
  • Liaise with stakeholders from across the business to ensure the needs and requirements of all groups are met as regularly as possible.
  • Assist in the administration and management of infrastructure systems, including Cloud and Network Infrastructure.
  • Provide support to other Operations and Research teams and act as a point of escalation when required.
  • Build comprehensive documentation of the systems, tool and processes that you own.
  • Make recommendations and drive changes to configurations where it is deficient.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Multiple years’ experience working with Cloud or Network Infrastructure.
  • Experience managing/leading development teams, developing software applications in Azure and/or AWS Clouds.
  • Experience in market research, either directly or in adjacent industries.
  • Experience leading and managing small technical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to communicate with both senior management and users at all levels
  • Willing to travel occasionally to Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
