Are you self-motivated and proactive in preventing homelessness and identifying housing solutions?
We are seeking a dedicated officer with experience of working with complex and challenging clients to join the HomelessnessReduction Team in a brand new role. You will be prepared to go the extra mile, brokering services with partner agencies, proactively finding housing solutions and aiding the those finding themselves homeless.
Liaise with internal and external colleagues as necessary to provide suitable accommodation, utilising all resources available to the Council. Increase the take-up of housing options and minimise the use and cost of temporary accommodation.
Work with private landlords to increase the supply of suitable privately rented accommodation available to clients who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
Actively work with clients in temporary accommodation to facilitate move-ons into alternative accommodation as soon as possible.
Manage all aspects of a clients' stay in temporary accommodation.
We would welcome applications from candidates with a variety of experience in housing advice, homelessness, supported housing, allocations and/or private sector housing.
