Senior Mechanical Estimator

Are you an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a talented individual to join my clients team as a Senior Mechanical Estimator at their established M&E contracting firm located in the heart of the Central Belt of Scotland.

They specialize in delivering top-notch mechanical and electrical solutions across a diverse range of projects, from £50,000 to £2 million in value. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to innovation, they pride themselves on delivering projects that exceed client expectations.

As a Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in their pre-construction team, responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with mechanical elements of their projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with talented professionals in the industry.

Conduct detailed mechanical take-offs and material quantity surveys.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
Collaborate with the wider project team to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior estimators as needed.
Extensive experience in mechanical estimating within the M&E sector.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building services engineering.
Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field are advantageous.Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
