Fabulous opportunity to be part of our Zoo We need a knowledgeable Zoo Administrator to join us permanently here at Drayton Manor reporting into our Head of Zoo Operations. You’ll be fundamental to our Zoo, acting as our registrar being responsible for the record keeping of our amazing animals and overall administrative duties. As an employee you will enjoy extensive benefits, full support in your role and you will be joining Drayton Manor Resorts as we embark on the next chapter of our journey Your responsibilities as a Zoo Administrator will include but not be limited to; Acting as a collection registrar with overall responsibility for animal records using Zims Conducting audits of collection inventory against physical animal count Ensuring our memberships EAZA and BIAZA are compliant. Liaising with Human Resources ensuring that all staffing shifts and holidays are entered onto our employee system Undertaking general administrative tasks to include, ordering of stationary, attend meetings, taking minutes notes and typing up to be distributed to relevant parities Administering Zoo projects, coordination of application process, approved studies and resulting publications Placing orders for food, bedding medical supplies liaising with our finance team on deliveries and invoices Input medical notes from the vet and vet nurse where applicable Interact with guests in a professional and confident manner Assist staff with biyearly animal welfare audits and will assist in coordinating action plans Key Skills and attributes as a Zoo Administrator Ideally you will have worked in a Zoo You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication Excellent IT skills are paramount You'll be well organised and able to cope with a varied workload What’s in it for you as our Zoo Administrator 30 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays 40 hour working week Fun benefits to include access into Drayton Manor for you and three guests and to our sister site West Midlands Safari Park for free You will be reporting into our Head of Zoo Operations supporting across all areas of the Zoo administratively and you will be given the full support and guidance on how to the zoo way We are Drayton Manor Resorts With ambitious plans to be the number one theme park in the UK for families, we are recruiting the best talent to work with us in promoting our successes and core values to our customers and our employees.
