The ideal candidate: Our client is an exciting and ambitious company seeking to change the world of industrial and commercial equipment monitoring through providing advanced sensors that embed pioneering proprietary analysis technologies which reveal valuable insights on any equipment that rely on oil for lubrication. They are seeking an ambitious, talented electronics development manager who wants to take their career to the next level and lead the development of new and advanced core technologies and robust sensor products which we mass produce and sell worldwide. You will oversee building and driving a world class core technology and product development team to deliver against challenging product specifications. The products you develop will be mass produced and used by blue-chip equipment operators worldwide to improve equipment reliability and reduce carbon footprint. The role: They require an ambitious and talented manager to manage and drive new product and core technology innovation and development in accordance with our development roadmap. You will push forward our core technology and product innovation with the objective of extending our lead in the field of real time oil analysis and analytics. You will be responsible for managing and growing our internal team of engineers and take responsibility for the development of existing and new core technologies from inception through to volume production. Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Building and managing the development team
- Managing a multi-discipline development team with skills ranging across integrated electronic design, PCA layouts, embedded software and associated mechanical design
- Driving core technology innovation to meet challenging product performance and functionality requirement specifications
- Ensuring that technology and product designs are volume production realisable and able to liaise with our production partners and internal production management to transfer designs into volume production
- Ambition, intelligence and common sense
- Deep understanding and experience of electronics-based product development from conception through to volume production
- Experience of running multi-disciplinary development teams
- Organised and structured with excellent communication and interpersonal communication skills
- Innately inquisitive in new technologies, concepts and ideas
