Additional Learning Needs
Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption. We have partnered with 1,500+ companies to deliver a new kind of learning that's transforming today's workforce. Our upskilling apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage to build critical AI, data, and tech skills. Our learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they've learned to improve productivity and measurable performance. In June 2022, we announced a $220 million Series D funding round co-led by StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. With a post-money valuation of $1.7bn, the round makes us the UK's first EdTech unicorn. But we aren't stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We're building a world where tech skills unlock people's potential and output. Join Multiverse and power our mission to equip the workforce to win in the AI era. The Role This is a unique opportunity to execute the strategy that ensures our support offering for the most vulnerable apprentices is world-class. You will be the internal expert and owner of solutions related to Additional Learning Needs (ALN), directly impacting apprentice success and retention. Specifically you will: Serve as the go-to specialist for all matters relating to ALN legislation, statutory guidance, compliance requirements and best practice in this field. Collaborate closely with the ALN Manager to drive and execute strategic initiatives that evolve our support offering, moving beyond day-to-day compliance to create a market-leading accessibility strategy. Develop and own the implementation of individual learning plans (ILPs) for each learner with ALN, ensuring tailored support and guidance that is evidence backed and in line with industry standards. Deliver timely, appropriate, tailored and high-quality support to apprentices with ALN in line with policies and internal SLAs helping them to overcome barriers and achieve program success and ultimately improving retention across ALN apprentices. Collaborate cross-functionally with coaches, instructors and other teams to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to individual learner support needs. Partner cross-functionally with all teams designing learner-facing processes to ensure Additional Learning Needs are considered at the source. You will act as a guardian of inclusivity, ensuring our workflows are built to enable every apprentice to succeed, rather than retrofitting support later. Own and maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided across stakeholders, ensuring that evidence needed for funding claims are meticulously tracked and readily available. Identify and resolve defined problems related to apprentice support needs, leveraging your knowledge and expertise to make recommendations to avoid future problems from arising. Complete and track all internal and external requests for accommodations and adjustments (e.g., EPA exam adjustments) with urgency and detail, balancing short-term support needs with long-term learner success. Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to learners and their coaches. Make recommendations and implement improvements to team processes based on data and subject matter expertise to enhance the efficiency and quality of our support model. Stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and strategies for supporting learners with ALN and actively share this knowledge to elevate the team's expertise. Advocate for apprentices with additional learning needs and model empathy in all interactions, ensuring equitable access to accommodations and resources. About You Successful candidates will have: Specialist Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of ALN legislation, statutory guidance, compliance requirements and best practice, and a deep foundational understanding of specific learning needs and disabilities. Relevant Credentials: Qualifications or certifications in relevant areas such as NASENCO, a Master's degree or postgraduate studies in SEN, Specialist SEN training, or equivalent. Data-Focus: Able to manage multiple data sources, quickly collate information, and provide insightful analysis to spot capacity gaps and inform decision-making. Systemic Thinking: The ability to look beyond individual cases to identify broader trends. You can translate day-to-day learner challenges into strategic recommendations that improve our overall processes, preventing barriers before they arise. Character & Resilience: A proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated approach with the ability to operate with urgency, prioritise work accordingly, and navigate a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. Collaboration & Influence: Strong ability to build relationships and partner with diverse teams (e.g., Learning, Central Operations, Coaching). You are comfortable advocating for inclusive design principles and can influence stakeholders to ensure learner processes are accessible by default. Mission Alignment: Passionate about social and economic mobility and a demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion. Desirable: Education Experience: 3+ years of experience in inclusion and equitable access within a 16+ education setting (college education, Higher Education or apprenticeship), with hands-on experience in ALN assessment or delivery. Benefits Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 5 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days, 2 company-wide wellbeing days (M-Powered Weekend) and 8 bank holidays per year Health & Wellness- private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, gym membership & wellness resources through Wellhub and access to Spill - all in one mental health support Hybrid work offering - we collaborate in the office 3 days per week Work-from-anywhere scheme - you'll have the opportunity to work from anywhere, up to 10 days per year Team fun - weekly socials, company wide events and office snacks Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion We're an equal opportunities employer.
