Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Products Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Systems & Underfloor Heating Industry Sector: Plumbing & Heating, M&E Contractors, HIU, Heat Interface Unit, Underfloor Heating, Plumbing Pipes & Fittings, District Heating, Central Heating, Pre-Insulated Pipework, Domestic Plumbing, Heating, Pipework, M&E Contractors, Plumbing & Heating Merchants, Plumbers Merchants, Merchants, Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager Area to be covered: Midlands & East Anglia Remuneration: £50,000 neg + uncapped commission Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid car & full benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Systems & Underfloor Heating will involve:

  • Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of plumbing pipes & fittings, underfloor heating, pre-insulated pipework, district heating and to a lesser extent heat interface units
  • Will have interaction with M&E contractors
  • 70% of your timer will be spent selling to M&E contractors & installers
  • 30% of your time selling into independent & national merchants such; MP Moran, UKPS & MKM
  • Turnover target circa £350k
  • Project sizes vary however £350-£1k per house
  • 70% new business / 30% account management
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Systems & Underfloor Heating with:
  • Technical field sales experience with plumbing & heating contractors and merchants
  • Ideally sold to M&E contractors, installers and plumbing & heating merchants
  • Preferably from the commercial HVAC, M&E, building services industry
  • Preferably a manufacturing field sales background, but also open to a distribution field sales background if previously worked for a manufacturer
  • IT Savvy, able to create sales plan
  • Ideally with knowledge of commercial plumbing and heating products such as pipes & fittings, heat interface units, district heating, underfloor heating, pre-insulated pipework, building services etc
  • Energetic self starter capable of handling multiple tasks to deadlines
  • Calm trustworthy and professional approach
