This role will focus on:
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare financial analysis to support business decisions, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling. Analyze key performance indicators and financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to drive business performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the quarterly and annual forecasting and planning cycles. Collaborate with Functional Leads to understand budget requirements and assumptions. Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates on variances and trends.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in financial reporting, including monthly, half-yearly, and annual financial reports, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reports as needed. Help to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Business Partnering: Support Partnering Functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Provide financial support per Function as required i.e., Sustainability, HR, IS.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency. Recommend and implement improvements to financial planning and analysis tools, systems, and methodologies.
  • Strategic and operational initiatives and projects: Support with control and reporting of budget and actual spend, and business processes and solutions, including involvement with D365/Project Unity.
  • Finance Support: Temporary finance support for Operating Companies within the Watson Marlow Business may be required at times.
To be successful in this role, youwill need:
  • Qualified CIMA/ACMA/ACA/ACCA. (Non-qualified or finalists may also be considered if they possess suitable experience and/or a relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics).
  • Experience in financial analysis, preferably in a similarly complex organization.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial systems and Excel.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear and actionable insights.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Project finance skills will prove hugely advantageous.
  • Experience with financial planning software and reporting systems (preferably Power BI) will prove useful.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively, as well as collaborate and build relationships.
