We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our vibrant therapy and clinical team as Lead Specialist Physiotherapist. The post holder will provide operational (day to day) leadership for our Living Well Service working closely with GP and partnership services across Wolverhampton, South Staffs and Black Country.

We are looking for someone to:

  • Provide specialist palliative and end of life care support and advice within Compton Care as well as expert advice, education and role modelling to fellow healthcare professionals.
  • Provides effective operational management and clinical leadership of Compton Cares’ Living well Team.
  • Lead and develop empowering patient focused therapeutic groups.
  • Support therapies practice in a variety of care settings as part of the wider patient/carer support team.
  • Promote a culture that supports self-management independence and embeds patient and Community involvement within the sphere of practice.
  • Maintain a highly visible presence as a role model to staff, patients and visitors.

Do you have the following skills, qualifications, and attributes?

  • Registered and currently practicing physiotherapist
  • Relevant leadership and management qualifications
  • Teaching or mentoring qualification
  • To place the patient at the heart of all actions
  • The ability to work alone and within a team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Has real passion and commitment to proving high quality palliative and end of life care
  • An understanding of the principles of Safeguarding
  • The ability to share and receive learning with and from colleagues
  • The ability to recognise and report risk

This role is 37.5 hours per week. Part time will be considered. Working predominantly Monday to Friday but will include some weekends and evenings in response to service need.
