As Legal Counsel – Employment Law , you will provide expert advice on a wide range of employment matters, from day-to-day HR issues to complex projects and transactions. You will work closely with HR and business leaders, manage employment disputes and litigation, and advise on trade union and collective consultation matters. The role also involves implementing legal changes, updating policies, and delivering training to ensure compliance and best practice across the organization.

Full involvement in transactions and major projects including competitive bids, outsourcing transactions, sales and acquisitions, redundancy and restructuring, drafting and negotiating TUPE provisions.
Working with a small team of dedicated and supportive employment law specialists.
Supporting the management of the Tribunal and Employment litigation process (both in house and with external counsel) and dealing with employee disputes including trade union and employee representative issues and disputes.
Implementing changes in employment law and advising on/updating HR policies and documents.
Participating in delivery of training to the business and HR team on employment law issues.

Instinctive commercial awareness.
The ability to identify and resolve legal risks.
Extensive post-qualification experience, gained in-house and/or in private practice, covering both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
Excellent academic record and thorough knowledge of UK employment law.
Experience in industrial relations and trades unions/collective consultation issues.


Awareness/experience of employment law in Ireland and other EMEA jurisdictions.
Some experience of dealing with pensions issues (in relation to transactions).
