Job: Mobile Fire & Security Technician
Salary: £36,627
Location: West Yorkshire
Hours: Monday - Frday 8:00pm - 17:00pm 42.5 hours per week
Randstad C&P are working with a leading facilities management company, to on board a Fire and Security Engineer. As part of this mobile role, you will be responsible for conducting work within commercial sites in the West Yorkshire area. The position is full-time and permanent, with core working hours scheduled from Monday to Friday, totalling 42.5 hours per week.
Job Purpose:
As the designated technical specialist for assigned sites, your main responsibility is to provide first-call response and technical expertise for various systems, including Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, and Automatic Pedestrian Gates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs in line with customer-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), covering response, repair, first fix, and closure tasks.
- Ensure that all planned, reactive, and statutory works related to CCTV engineering are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations.
- Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks within agreed time frames, diligently handling all required documentation.
- Respond promptly to service call requests from the Help desk during regular hours and while on call. For after-hours support, refer cases to the designated specialist in the first instance.
- Identify irreparable equipment faults and propose appropriate corrective courses of action.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire detection, alarm systems, and security equipment. Knowledge of various fire and security system manufacturers and models is advantageous.
- Possession of relevant certifications such as FIA (Fire Industry Association), BAFE (British Approvals for Fire Equipment), or NSI (National Security Inspectorate) certification is highly desirable.
- A relevant engineering or technical qualification in fire and security systems or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working with retail buildings or commercial properties is beneficial, with a track record of providing high-quality service and maintaining excellent client relationships.
- Take part in on call rota, 1 in 4.
