Job Role: Bookkeeper Contract Type: Permanent Salary Range: £28,000 to £30,000 per year FTE (pro-rata for part-time) There will be a pay review after six months upon passing probation Working Pattern: Part Time We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our client's team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and reconcile bank statements. Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Reconcile accounts and proactively chase outstanding arrears and payments. Collaborate with management to create and manage budgets. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts. Utilise a powerful ERP system to streamline processes, track financial data, and generate insightful reports. Set up and maintain the chart of accounts, ledgers, and financial modules. Manage tax filings and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards.Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Good understanding of accounting principles and practises. Strong IT and finance system skills, including proficiency in MS Excel. Excellent communication and attention to detail skills.
