Reporting into the CEO, the Group Marketing & Communications Director will join an exceptional and expanding team and play a key part in the business’s exciting growth journey. They will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to elevate the brand and drive business success. Creative ideas, a strategic mindset, and strong leadership skills will be instrumental in shaping marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategy - Lead the development of a first-class, global marketing function, ensuring Ashtead Technology is positioned to achieve its growth ambitions and deliver customer and shareholder value.
  • Market understanding – Champion the Group’s understanding of the importance of brand recognition and market positioning, maintaining deep sector knowledge and serve as an advisor to the senior management team.
  • Financials - Partner with the CFO to produce the plc annual report, periodic investor presentations and other material required for plc marketing, communications, and reporting.
  • Technology - Implement appropriate best practice marketing and technology-based solutions necessary to achieve the Group’s marketing and communications objectives to increase value derived from the marketing and communications discipline.
  • Teamwork - Be part of the leadership team, working closely with colleagues to identify and deliver an effective and responsive marketing and communications service, leading the team to excel in the delivery of functional and group objectives.

Desired experience:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in English, communications or a marketing-related subject or significant relevant industry experience.
  • Significant track record in marketing with an ability to develop and design marketing strategies appropriate for an international multi service line organisation.
  • Experience leading the implementation of multi-media brand promotional campaigns across a full range of web-based platforms.
  • Strong writing and editing skills including ability to take technical specifications and translate into easy-to-understand copy.
