Job Description

We have a new, dynamic role for an External Sales Executive who will focuson external sales and customer development within the Commercial Sales stream and supporting profitable growth within the business.

We are looking for candidates in theMilton Keynes, Northampton, Gloucestershire, Sussex OR West Sussex area to service customers in these areas and in the South.

  • The design and implementation of processes required for meeting the contractual deliverables of the Contractual Accounts
  • Supporting the budgeting process of the Contractual Accounts to meet EBIT/tkVA requirements
  • To recognise and help develop areas of profitable growth for Contractual Accounts
  • Ensure contract deliverables of the Contractual Accounts are met, to include but not limited to service, quality, cost, and aftermarket
  • Coordination of activities both internal and external to ensure contract deliverables are met
  • Completion of sales quotations
  • Supporting the creation of strategic proposals and bids
  • Regular business reviews with customer to discuss future demands, stock levels, performance, business opportunities and ‘Materials as a Service’
  • Customer reporting and communications to include business reviews including regular status updates
  • Work in conjunction with Senior Internal Sales and Sales Support to provide efficient and effective customer service
  • Work in conjunction with Credit Control on cash collection and credit limits.
  • Master data creation and integrity within SAP
  • To ensure all functions are performed in accordance with tk compliance requirements
  • To seek out opportunities for ‘Materials as a Service’ ethos.
  • To develop accounts to Key Account status and pass ‘up stream’
  • To assist in promoting our company sustainability and green strategy

Skills and experience required:

  • Face to face contract management experience
  • Proven track record of customer development
  • Experienced with developing relationships at all levels
  • Commercial awareness & negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills including customer presentations
  • PC literate with a strong working knowledge of windows based applications.
  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible, adaptable and prepared to learn
  • Driving license and able to travel to customers within the south region
