SEND Support Worker - West Leeds Position: SEND Learning Support Assistant (Primary School) Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm Location: Pudsey Start Date: ASAP or September Salary: £90-£100 per day Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated SEND Support Worker to join on of our primary schools on a full-time basis. This is a temp-to-perm position, offering the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff. The successful candidate will work 1:1 with a student with autism who exhibits challenging behaviour. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualised support to a student with autism. Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour. Establish and maintain good boundaries to support the child's development. Foster a caring and nurturing environment. Build and maintain positive relationships with the student and their family. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure the student's needs are met.Requirements: Previous experience working with children with autism and challenging behaviour is advantageous. A caring and nurturing nature with the ability to set good boundaries. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
