Responsibilities: As an Overhead Line Design Engineer, you will:
  • Conduct overhead line design studies to support construction and consultancy projects.
  • Develop transmission line models.
  • Produce electrical line performance assessments and safety studies.
  • Create and utilise OHL support models within transmission design frameworks.
  • Evaluate, select, and quantify transmission line components for projects.
  • Ensure safety by design throughout the design process.
  • Drive innovation in project solutions.
  • Deliver design outputs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work complies with agreed budgets and time-lines.
  • Stay updated with technical quality management procedures, developments, and specifications related to the discipline.

  • Awareness of key health and safety impacts on OHL construction contracts.
Desirable:
  • Proficiency in CAD design software.
