Role Overview

The Warehouse and Pre-Commissioning Engineer plays a crucial role in managing the hardware and consumables delivered to the MVS warehouse. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, testing, preparing and capturing key information, ensuring that all equipment is meticulously organized for onward shipping to client sites. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless integration of AV systems, setting the stage for exceptional experiences for our clients.

As our Warehouse and Pre-Commissioning Engineer, you will receive comprehensive training in audiovisual systems, providing you with a solid foundation in AV technology and IT fundamentals. This training not only equips you with the necessary skills for success in your current role but also opens doors to future advancements within our company and the broader AV industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing of all screens on delivery, to inspect for any damage
  • Responsible for safe storage and accurate record keeping of hardware required for projects.
  • QC – Checking in-bound deliveries for damaged or missing items, raising non-conformances with MVS purchasing department and external suppliers.
  • Provide timely communications around hardware deliveries and completeness of projects.
  • Picking hardware for any pre-com work and prepping / packing for transportation.
  • Arranging courier bookings including preparation of pallets along with creating the collection and delivery notes.
  • Regular inspections and coordinate maintenance of warehouse tools and equipment.
  • Support / coordinate monthly stock takes.
  • Coordination of returns from client sites to MVS warehouse and from MVS warehouse to suppliers.
  • Picking and stock management of consumables range
  • Expediting purchase orders from supply partners and updating purchase orders with the latest available information.
  • Testing equipment prior to Installation and updating firmware.
  • Work closely with the project engineers and project managers, communicate and assist with implementing requirements for equipment configuration
  • Construction and configuration of AV racks
  • Configuration of codecs in-house to reduce on-site time and improve customer customer experience
  • Interpret block schematics and rack layouts

It is not a pre requisite that you have experience in your knowledge of AV as full training will be given.
