Brand new job opportunity - R&D/Tech Service Chemist for a growing materials manufacturer in West Yorkshire.

Job Opportunity - R&D/Tech Service Chemist

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.15-5pm (some flexibility if required), Friday 8.15am to 1pm (wahoo)

Location: West Yorkshire

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £40k (could be stretched dependant on your skills and experience)

You will be involved in:

* Taking ideas from lab scale concepts through to full scale production.

* Formulating new and existing products to improve their efficacy and working with quality to test products.

* Planning and running customer trials and provide technical support where required.

* Creating your own project plans and ensuring that these are completed within agreed timescales and to customer specifications.

* Updating MSDS and SDS information and technical specification information.

What do you need to be considered?

You will need:

* Degree in Science or equivalent experience ideally within Chemistry, Polymers or Material Science.

* At least 3 years' experience working in an industrial lab formulating products - utilising isocyanate, epoxy or polyurethane technologies.

* Knowledge of regulatory standards such as REACH, CLP etc and MSDS along with authoring technical support information.

* Excellent communication and project management skills and the ability to liaise with various internal departments and customers.
