Reporting to the UK General Manager the Sales Manager will take commercial responsibility for building and executing an effective new business sales strategy in order to consistently meet quarterly revenue targets.   • An excellent communicator with strong client presentation skills and the ability to provide a professional, targeted software demonstrations to illustrate how the proposed solution solves business challenges
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to build lasting business relationships
  • The ability to motivate self and others
  • Attention to detail and good administration skills
  • Experience in managing and mentoring Sales teams
  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills and capable of remaining calm under pressure
  • Proficient in Office 365 applications
  • Sales experience either within software solutions or the facilities management/built environment sector
  • Experience selling into public sector highly desirable
Key responsibilities and accountabilities: • The Sales Manager is responsible/accountable for:
  • Generating and developing leads; identifying new business, markets, partnerships and client opportunities to support business growth in line with SWG’s business strategy
  • Line management of Account Managers, Sales Development Representative and Account Director
  • Creating revenue generation strategies underpinned by proactive communication (via phone, email communication and regular meetings) and working with the marketing team to share ideas and obtain support where relevant
  • With a comprehensive understanding of SWG’s product offering, consulting with prospects and pitching products and services using targeted and compelling software demonstrations
  • Identifying and escalating any barriers to sales conversion and resolving prospects’ concerns that may delay the sales process
  • Creating a systemized approach to developing short and long-term sales opportunities and a solid pipeline and ensuring a highly disciplined approach to managing it and actively working towards and reaching it
  • Creating detail plans for new license revenue and Professional Services bookings
  • Closing revenue and successfully meeting quarterly revenue targets
  • Building and nurturing client relationships
  • Creation and documentation of account plans for key sales opportunities
  • Documenting sales proposals / quotations and maintaining accurate data Dynamics CRM 365
  • Maintaining oversight of renewals and ensuring they are completed professionally, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Working alongside Finance team to maintain an accurate plan & forecast for recurring revenue in relation to existing accounts
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s product offering, positioning and the competition
  • Raising sales orders on the ERP system (NetSuite) and liaising with the SWG finance team to ensure accuracy and timely billing
  • Attending industry networking events to develop a strong network of contacts and staying abreast of industry trends
  • Promoting and participating in sales meetings, events, exhibitions, seminars, user groups and webinars (prospect and client events) including presenting at such events
  • Working with the marketing and sales team to create client and market specific presentations
  • Partnering internally to help develop and turn product strategy into lead generation / sales closure
  • Being a proactive and collaborative team-player with sales and other colleagues
  • Other reasonable duties in order to execute effective new business sales generation
