Description

As the face and voice of our brand to new prospective customers globally, the Strategic Sales Development Manager will proactively drive new customer sales growth through the art of prospecting, including building and managing a lead database, targeting our ideal customers through campaigns, lead qualification and nurturing through the sales pipeline. 

Working as part of the wider business development and marketing function, this role has responsibility particularly for new business and outbound growth opportunities, with the flexibility to support with full cycle business development activities as business needs require.

On a typical day, it looks like this:
  • Supporting in the development of a growth strategy for lead generation that focuses on both commercial reward and customer satisfaction
  • Working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across Product, Sales, Commercial, Operations and external agencies to deliver our business commercial objectives and KPIs
  • Building and executing lead generation campaigns to our defined target audience through our sales and marketing CRM HubSpot
  • Building and managing a lead generation pipeline from lead > early-stage sales pipeline (SQL)
  • Engaging and building relationships with C-Suite and key decision makers for global payroll, identifying their pain points, influencing strategic decisions, and positioning our solution 
  • Nurturing and qualifying leads that come into the business through demand generation channels through to SQL
  • Supporting the wider commercial team to deliver a high-quality customer experience
  • Participation in demos, proposals and contracting where required
  • Analysing data to identify prospecting trends and providing insight to the wider teams across the business
  • Support the development of building our ideal customer personas
  • Conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs
What attributes typically make someone brilliant in this role...
  • A proven track record within sales and business development, particularly in the SaaS, professional services or payroll sectors
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software (Salesforce and HubSpot)
  • Experience in building and managing a pipeline, able to develop and manage relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders at C-suite level
  • Ability to provide momentum around campaign delivery
  • Business and commercial acumen allowing you to analyse and interpret data, whilst being able to create meaningful business messages.
  • Understanding of the sales cycle and the required components to promote and drive a successful opportunity.
  • Agility and flexibility to meet the changing needs of Industry, market dynamics and business.
  • Inquisitive by nature, getting under the skin of our customers and products to become a subject matter expert
  • A knowledge of Global Mobility services, HR and Payroll is desirable but not essential
