Purpose Of Post : To promote all Health, Safety and Environmental functions within Wright En Drive Ltd.
Responsible for: To identify, plan & develop a culture of safety throughout the business, implementing robust Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) management systems that are appropriate, together
with the introduction, co-ordination and on-going management and control of associated strategies
policies and procedures.
Key Tasks :
- Achievement of individual and company objectives.
- Assist in the development of polices, systems and procedures as required and communication of same.
- Ensure compliance with H&S and environmental law and best practice.
- Establish and maintain safe systems of work for all activities.
- Develop a positive business culture and behaviour towards HSE, involving all employees with particular emphasis on accident investigation.
- Increase and maintain employee and contractor awareness of HSE issues.
- Manage / action and report on required safety meetings.
- Provide guidance and advice to management in.
- Assist with the completion of risk assessments.
- Maintain appropriate manual and electronic recording systems.
- Deliver training sessions on relevant HSE aspects.
- Ensure the proper management, corrective and preventive actions for accidents across all sites, analysing group trends and root causes.
- Liaison with local authorities, e.g. HSE(NI), Ballymena Borough Council, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service.
- Undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post

Specialist Knowledge / Skills
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Proven organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Interpret Health and Safety and Environmental legislation into practical working arrangements.
- Computer literate Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

- Self motivated and ability to motivate others.
Circumstances
- Flexible and adaptable.
Good timekeeping and attendance records.
- Good disciplinary record.
Desirable
Working towards NEBOSH
Safety or Environmental Diploma
Experience in ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001
IPPC/PPC Regulations
Experience in COSHH and DSEAR/ATEX
Experiencein a Health and Safety role within manufacturing
