DEPARTMENT: Banking and Treasury DIVISION: Group ROLE OVERVIEW Therole is aligned and sits within JTC's Banking and Treasury Department. TheBanking & Treasury Governance team is a specialized team based in Jersey. Theteam holds a pivotal role within JTC Group, overseeing global operationalbanking governance across multiple jurisdictions where JTC operates banking and/ortreasury services. Theteam is committed to upholding the highest standards of regulatory complianceand internal policy adherence, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of bankingand treasury operations. PURPOSE OF JOB The overall purpose of the job isto protect JTC, its people and clients through delivery and implementation of arobust banking & treasury governance framework. Witha focus on precision and diligence, the role is key in safeguarding theintegrity of JTC Group's banking & treasury governance and maintainingstakeholder confidence and trust. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- To work effectively with a broad range of global stakeholders (internal and external).
- To act as liaison with all JTC bank and money service providers, ensuring deadlines are met with regards to the provision of required documentation to our banking partners.
- Provide support for requests for new bank and money service providers and presenting same to the Group Banking Committee.
- Assist the team with mapping / updating JTC Group Banking and Treasury policies and procedures, including the development and implementation of preventative measures and control mechanisms, ensuring that same meet all local and regulatory standards.
- Drafting bank account opening application forms for new JTC Group bank accounts.
- Responsible for the maintenance, updating and distributing of JTC Group Authorized Signatory Lists (Banking).
- Assist with the annual audit of the Authorized Signatory List.
- Efficient and effective management and prioritizing of task ensuring all deadlines are met in accordance with bank cut off times.
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies within the Banking and Treasury operations.
- Together with key internal stakeholders from across the JTC Group, assist with the drafting and launching of policies and procedures both at Group level and individual jurisdictional level.
- Key contact for all JTC's banking partners in Jersey, assisting with periodic client testing, ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with management on key initiatives, including the launching of new products ensuring that the highest standards of compliance and governance are upheld, safeguarding the integrity of JTC's banking processes.
- Assist with the maintenance of existing approved bank and money service providers schedule and reviewing requests for new bank or money service providers across JTC Group.
- Support with ad hoc projects.
- Adhere to risk & associated compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
- Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
- Adhere to the JTC core values and expected behaviors.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
- Relevant Legal, Banking or Risk & Compliance experience.
- Strong understanding of Jersey CDD, AML and Financial Crime laws and regulations.
- Knowledge and experience of GDPR and other data protection requirements and good practice.
- Experience of writing policies and procedures.
- Strong organisational, planning and project management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with an ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
