We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance support functions of our warehouse automation system. This role involves both managing the day to day running of the MHE, a strategic role in developing and improving the support team, and continuous improvement initiatives to support our warehousing operations.
Leadership and Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance professionals, including training manager, reliability manager, CMMS specialist, Maintenance planner, stores team.
Foster a culture of safety, team training, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
Set performance goals in line with business OKR’s and conduct regular performance reviews along with 1-2-1’s.
Maintenance Operations:
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies and schedules to ensure all warehouse equipment and systems are operating efficiently, conducting regular reviews of the 52-week plan to ensure optimal performance is achieved.
Budget and Resource Management:
Manage the maintenance department budget, including forecasting and controlling expenses.
Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance and make data-driven decisions.
Compliance, Safety and Training:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Working with the training manager, ensure all shift have a robust training plan in place, with clear training needs/development plans in place.
Work closely and build strong relationships with other departments, including Operations, Flow room, facilities, to support overall warehouse performance.
Communicate maintenance plans, progress, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
Maintain effective vendor relationships for outsourced maintenance services, creating clear accountability and periodically checking value for money and looking to bring in house where possible.
Bachelor's degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven history of developing and managing maintenance programs and teams.
Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
Proficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant technology.
