OUR IMPACT Controllers ensure that the firm meets all thefinancial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated,and public financial institution. Our professionals measure theprofitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of thefirm's business. Controllers also ensure that the firm's activitiesare conducted in compliance with the regulations governingtransactions in the financial markets. We're a team of specialistscharged with managing the firm’s liquidity, capital, and risk, andproviding the overall financial control and reporting functions.Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firm’s counterparties,monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, oroffering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our workcontributes directly to the firm’s success. The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding thefirm's assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs'finances and expenditures. Controllersalso ensure that all business practices are in compliance withfinancial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Direct HedgeFunds, Hedge Funds Strategies, Private Equity Group teams withinControllers support the alternative investments within Goldman SachsAsset Management division with oversight over complex private funds.
The RRP core team is a small centralized team that isresponsible for setting the strategy for, planning, and coordinatingthe firm’s global and local RRP deliverables. The team also hasresponsibility for running the assurance framework across our RRPcapabilities, and is the first point of call for regulatory enquiriesrelating to RRP globally. This role will require strong analytical skills including the abilitytoreviewand challengeoutput provided by capability owners in thecontext of the tests, and also the ability to produce documentation tomeet regulatory submission standards.
The roleholder will be a full member of the RRP core team and in addition towork on the assurance framework, will have the opportunity toparticipate in the firm’s broader recovery and resolution planningefforts.
This role provides an exciting opportunity toparticipate in an important area of regulatory focus and be involvedin developing the firm’s thinking and approach to resolvability as itsbusiness model continues to evolve.
