Interim Legal Counsel

Our client, an international private equity fund, are seeking an Interim Legal Counsel who will be providing maternity cover and who will work closely with the General Counsel and the investment team. The role will involve providing broad legal support across regulatory and funds-related matters. Immediate availability is essential. Key Responsibilities Advise on a wide range of regulatory issues, including AIFMD, MiFID II, SFDR, and AMF obligations. Support on the marketing and distribution of funds. Work with investment and compliance teams on the interpretation and implementation of new regulatory developments. Provide legal support on fund structuring, governance, and investor documentation. Liaise with external counsel and regulators as needed, ensuring efficient and pragmatic handling of complex cross-border issues. Assist with corporate and transactional matters on an ad hoc basis, including portfolio company governance and internal structuring. Candidate Profile Qualified lawyer with 3–10 years' post-qualification experience, ideally gained in house within a private equity / asset management environment. Strong technical grounding in either Funds (formation, marketing, regulatory compliance) or Financial regulation (AIFMD, MiFID II, AMF requirements) French language skills highly advantageous but not essential.
