Newport, United Kingdom The Priory Full time

We have a supported living home where 7 tenants reside. They are non-ambulant and non-verbal and have complex health conditions therefore we have robust support systems in place lead by health professionals. We are looking for support workers who are kind, caring, compassionate and are committed to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all tenants. Support duties include manual handling, mealtime management, medication administration, money handling, attending health appointments, handling correspondence. We also support tenants with a range of indoor activities such as pamper sessions, sensory sessions, reflexology, arts and crafts, water play and much more. All tenants are regularly supported in the community to engage in personal shopping, weekly food shop, cinema visits, bowling, trips to the beach/safari parks and holidays to places like Blackpool. We are passionate about providing all-inclusive support and opportunities to all our tenants so that they can live a full and varied life.
Supported living is a unique opportunity to support people in their own homes. Our tenants have their own tenancy agreements with the same rights and responsibilities as you or I.
We are able to provide bespoke support packages centred around specific needs for each individual with the aim being that we empower and enrich each person’s life in order that they can strive to reach their maximum level of independence. There is no better job in the world than watching a person achieve their goal and knowing you had some small part to play in that success.
