This role will provide support to that effort.

  • Providing guidance and support to members of Staff Support Networks to identify and address issues and concerns and ensure the effective representation of under-represented groups within Dorset Police.
  • Working with stakeholders across the organisation to develop, implement and monitor initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion within Dorset Police.
  • Working closely with the Human Resources team to ensure that Staff Support Network activity is integrated into HR processes, policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a similar role within a large, complex organisation.
  • Excellent knowledge of diversity and inclusion issues and experience of promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Experience working with under-represented groups and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others and produce clear and concise reports.
  • A proven track record of project management, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.

Working Arrangements:

  • This is a full-time, permanent role.
  • The role is predominantly office-based but may involve occasional travel.
  • Flexible working arrangements may be available, subject to operational requirements.
