Location: London (hybrid)

Salary: £120k, plus bonus

Role Overview:

Finatal are working with a PE backed Financial Services business, seeking a Head of FP&A, to play a crucial role in driving business performance and strategic decision-making during a pivotal period, approximately 12-18 months from exit. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee the financial planning and analysis functions, providing insightful analysis, forecasting, and strategic guidance to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse revenues, costs, and overall financial performance to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
  • Lead short and long-term financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update and refine the company's long-term strategic plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to senior stakeholders, providing financial insights, scenario analysis, and strategic recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Develop and implement value-adding KPIs dashboards, and MI reports to monitor performance and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and scenario planning.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • At least 6-8 post-qualified experience in FP&A roles within the financial services industry, with minimum 4 years’ PE experience.
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial planning software.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate strategic insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organisation.
