The Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer that secures this exciting role will find the Engineers operate as a close-knit team who work well together, and are happy to share their knowledge & experience to assist the new team member to settle in. This role will suit a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a background in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment where they’ve gained mechanical knowledge & skills with bearings, shafts, belts, chains, motors, gears, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (MIG) etc. Responsibilities Your role will be to focus on preventative and reactive response to Mechanical Maintenance in the factory, including: Supporting various heavy equipment and machinery across the factory, dealing with and overcoming problems in a fast paced environment. Working through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work. Reactive maintenance, working at pace attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly and getting production lines back up and running again. Dealing with belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics etc. Any workshop skills will come in handy, ideally welding in MIG. Requirements Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications at Level 3 or above Experience with mechanical maintenance or mechanical fitting work, within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment Machinery maintenance experience Any experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics would be desirable Any MIG welding experience would be desirable Heavy plant/machinery experience would be great but not essential Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in Friendly and adaptable working attitude If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Alec at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
