The role

We are looking for experienced, capable individual to work in our Sustainment team to focus on the Stratford district to reduce evictions. You will take a proactive, direct approach to identify and intervene with tenancies that have the potential to fail.

Please note this is a hybrid role, with a mix of home, office, and community-based working in Stratford upon Avon. The wider tenancy team work predominantly between 8 - 6, but flexibility to cover 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and occasional 8am to 1pm on a Saturday will be required.

This role is part of Customer & Communities where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.

What you'll achieve

  • Identify failing tenancies and engage with customers to take steps to avoid this.
  • Work with key reports and data to inform choices and action.
  • Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work flexibly round customer lives and needs to support their ability dealing with tenancy breaches.
  • Facilitate access to grants where applicable.

What you'll bring

For this role, it is key you have experience in managing rental arrears cases and supporting customers in financial difficulty. You will have a keen focus on driving customer service and be able to work flexibly to support need.

Essential skills

  • Experience in debt recovery works ideally within a social housing set up.
  • Knowledge of welfare reform and relevant housing legislations
  • Outcome focused approached, delivered via partnership working
  • Strong communications skills to build relationships with customers, colleagues and key partner agencies.
  • Ability to travel to meet the needs of the role.
