We are currently recruiting for a Mouldshop Production Manager to join our client in their Reading site.
As a Mouldshop Production Manager your responsibilities will include:
Liaising with other members of management to correct any production issues.
Proficient with lean techniques (5S)
Managing day to day activities of the Production team
Increasing efficiency of the Production team through regular coaching.
Ensuring Health and Safety obligations are met, working closely with the group Health & Safety Manager.
Working closely with other departments to ensure continuity of supply to production and goods out.
Supporting quality management, waste reduction and environmental sustainability targets.
Working closely with the Operations Manager to deliver Mouldshop improvement plan.
To be successful you will ideally have the following experience and skillset:
Previous experience working as a Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of various assembly and manufacturing environments.
Good knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing methods (5S).
A confident communicator with other members of staff and senior management.
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Ability to work independently as well as a team.
Experience with automated based manufacturing would be desirable.
