Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client a British multinational automobile manufacturer which produces luxury vehicles and sport utility vehicles. They are looking for Vehicle Architecture Development Engineer to join their expanding team on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Dunton.
Job Description
As Vehicle Architecture Development Engineer your main responsibilities are:
- VA engineers are responsible for establishing and delivering the fundamental layout of vehicles including the dimensions; mass balance; occupant positions and accommodation and the mechanical arrangement with geometrical compatibility.
- VA's are the first engineering team involved in the programme and involvement continues to Job#1 and beyond
Qualifications / Skills needed
- Excellent project and people management skills, with tenacity in resolving issues
- Knowledge of FEDE, PLM, CAE, CAD, Auros - E2KS and Digital Buck tools ,CATIA abilities
- Ability to resolve complex, multi-dimensional problems and present solutions with clarity
- Experience in delivery of vehicle programs.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle variants / configurations preferred
