Role: Contractor Supervisor will be responsible for several teams under the general direction of the Production Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, improving and motivating staff under your disposal to achieve the various objectives and goals of the company. They will be self-motivated with a strong background of production supervision within a fast-paced production environment where they have had responsibility for production, quality, performance management, employee relations, recruitment & selection, and health & safety.

  • Ensure output and efficiency are maximised within production whilst maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality.
  • Monitor/challenge team members’ performance and conduct in accordance with company procedures where required to drive improvement.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching, conducting performance reviews with the team.
  • Communicate daily with Production Manager, Scheduler Team Leaders, Team Lead Support, Project Engineers, Logistics, and stores personnel to ensure deadlines are met and product shipped on time.
  • Make continuous efforts to improve housekeeping within production.
  • Implement and communicate consistently all company directives.
  • Conduct disciplinary meetings, return-to-work interviews and reviews with the team.
  • Offer Technical support to Team Leads and Team Lead Support.
  • In conjunction with the in-house Technical Trainer identify knowledge and skill gaps within the team and ensure relevant training is supplied to develop the team continually.
  • Continually look at cost reduction within the department, minimising the use of overtime.
  • Be capable of setting up high-volume production lines for current or new products to ensure the line runs optimally.

Essential Experience / Qualification Criteria:

To be considered/shortlisted for this position to the interview stage, you will have attained experience/qualification in all the following areas as deemed essential for the position:

  • Have a minimum of 4 year’s experience in a supervisory position.
  • Proven track record of providing leadership to achieve production targets.
  • Experience in setting up high-volume production lines.
