Our client is looking for an Engineering Workshop Manager to join their team and manage all aspects of the engineering performance in the depot.

They want an individual with a can-do attitude who is dedicated to providing excellent service and support to a growing business.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Strong Engineering background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of employment, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Strong people management abilities
  • Level 3 HGV City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent
  • Professional manner and can-do attitude

Job role:

To support and deputise for the Engineering Manager, to manage all aspects of engineering performance in the depot, including Health & Safety, fleet planning and environmental management, delivering excellent customer experience, while managing a governance agenda that supports legislative and policy compliance.

Identify and resolve day to day engineering issues, provide updates and escalate key issues or concerns to the line manager.

The Workshop Manager will ensure that standard policies and procedures are adopted within the depot and will ensure that the daily Run in/Run out process is supported with effective allocation of resources.

Ensuring vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum and visual satisfaction to all is maintained.
