Contracts Lawyer

Job Description We are currently working in partnership with a local authority based in Oxfordshire, who are looking to appoint a Contracts Lawyer on a permanent basis.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and they are ideally looking for someone to attend office once per week in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within Contracts & Procurement Law, and will have specific experience within the Local Government setting.
Handling a range of complex contracts and agreements on behalf of the Council, ensuring sound legal advice is provided on significant projects
Advising on procurement matters, commercial contracts and subsidy control, and drafting high value contracts
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and policies, whilst providing advice on public procurement regulations and tendering processes
Negotiating and drafting all types of commercial legal agreements including possible procurement and high-level, complex contact matters
Contracts & Procurement Law
