You must have strong decision-making skills, a high attention to detail, an eye for talent and be extremely diligent. Passion and determination are at the core of how we operate, so the individual will need to share our enthusiasm & dedication in helping to develop the best possible pool of talent. The ideal candidate will have had previous experience in staffing major events, Stadia or Sporting venues. You must be experienced in delivering large volumes of casual teams and ideally across multivenue sites.
 
As a Staffing Manager at Shack Events, you will be responsible for ensuring the deployment of casual staff at your designated Venues across the UK.

You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate staff are allocated to each event, relevant training is completed to a high standard and that all casual staff are adequately supported & utilised throughout their employment with Shack.

You will play a crucial role in the recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management of our event staff.

Lead by our Head of People, you’ll be reporting directly to our People Operations Manager and working alongside our Senior Staffing Manager.

The role would be based out of our London office (Dollis Hill, NW10), with a requirement to travel to your venues for events and training days both in and outside of London.

Given the nature of the events industry, weekend work is frequent, supported by our TOIL scheme.
 
Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding of our casual staff: Talent Scouting and Spotting: we believe in the recruitment cycle of the business starting from the ground up for many of our roles.
Training and Development: contribute to delivering training programs to equip event staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
Event Staffing Fulfilment: the responsibility to appropriately staff your venues primarily sits with you.
Event Day & Venue administration: you will lead on any administration – typically relating to security measures – that pertains to your venue.
Compliance and Administration: maintain accurate records of key staff details with appropriate GDPR policies and procedures at the core.
Post-Event Review: debrief with event managers to review staffing operations, identify lessons learned, process hours and make recommendations for improvement in future events.
 
EVENT DAY REPONSIBILITIES
On-Site Management: Be present at our venues to oversee the deployment of event staff, ensuring that they arrive on time meet all uniform & presentation standards are properly and are equipped to fulfil their roles effectively.
Coordinate with event managers to assign event staff to their respective roles and areas of responsibility, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changing event dynamics.
Problem Resolution: Act as a point of contact for event staff regarding any issues or concerns that arise during events, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure smooth operations.
Provide support and assistance to event staff as needed, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and a willingness to pitch in wherever necessary to ensure the success of the event.
