PLANNING / STRATEGY DIRECTOR

I am looking for a Planning Director to join a creative agency's strategy team. In this role, you'll lead communications campaigns for key clients and play a pivotal role in shaping the future and overall agency offering.

You'll need at least 8 years of strategy experience within agencies and a track record of delivering creatively impactful advertising campaigns. Experience in the charity sector or direct response is a plus, but not essential.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Insight and Strategy

  1. Turn insight into concise, inspiring creative briefs and presentations that drive effective and innovative work.
  2. Support clients in strategic transformations across brand, campaigns, and product portfolios.
  3. Design unique research processes to gather and distill insight, using both qualitative and quantitative techniques.

New Business Development

  1. Deliver insights and pitch materials that secure new business, particularly retainers and long-term projects.
  2. Produce original thinking, research, blog content, and events to address sector challenges and establish thought leadership.
  3. Help shape the agency's product and service offering, addressing client needs across charity and commercial sectors while identifying new income opportunities.

Client Development

  1. Foster strong client relationships, especially with retained clients, and lead the management of their communications portfolios through regular planning meetings.
  2. Identify and secure growth opportunities within existing accounts, working closely with client services teams.

Team Leadership and Agency Culture

  1. Manage two planners, supporting their professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
  2. Contribute to a positive and effective agency culture by sharing knowledge, ideas, and inspiration that amplify the agency's impact on society and the planet.

Salary up to £75k.

3 days in their London office is required.

To start ASAP, but there's some flex to take into consideration any notice periods.
