GDOC is looking for an Advanced ClinicalPractitioner to join our GP surgeries based in Gloucester. Performing thorough physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with the healthcare team to devise comprehensive care strategies.
Make onward referrals for patients as required within a timely manner and action resulting hospital or specialist information and letters.
Offering health promotion and preventive care services, encompassing vaccinations, health screenings, and personalised lifestyle guidance.
Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, physicians, nurses, and specialists to streamline patient care and optimise outcomes.
Maintaining meticulous and up-to-date medical records, in compliance with regulatory standards.
You will be required to be immunisedin compliance with Green Book (attached) and NHS recommendations for your role(unless medically exempt), including immunisations against Covid.
We run a number of GP practices, as well as some other services for thewhole county.
In Gloucester we run 9,500 patients at Gloucester Health Access Centre/MatsonLane (9,500 patients) and Partners inHealth (12,400).
Our countywide services include:
The Enhanced Access Service, which provides GP appointments inGloucester and Cheltenham at weekends.
The Covid Virtual Ward: we monitor oxygen readings from people diagnosedwith Covid, to ensure that they get help if their oxygen levels start to fall.Over 17,000 primary care appointments each year at Gloucester HealthAccess Centre for patients who may need to be seen the same day when their ownpractice is already full, or who do not have a registered GP. Work autonomously making highly complex clinical decisions with minimal supervision from GPs and the Chief Nursing Officer, working within local and national policies and being responsible for how these policies are interpreted.
Actively engaging in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research and ongoing professional development to elevate your clinical prowess, and maintain your skills with the advanced practice research pillar.
Provide education and guidance to the nursing, medical and other members of the multi-disciplinary team as appropriate.

Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues across health and social care settings
Competent and capable of using medical equipment
Experience in working in primary care
NMC or HCPC registration
Hold or are eligible for an Advanced digital badge issued by the Centre for Advancing Practice
