Ocean Freight Operator - Felixstowe, Suffolk

MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Circa £30,000 per annum, more for greater experience
  • 20 days holiday rising to 25 with service, plus Bank Holidays
  • Life Insurance/Death in Service

THE ROLE

  • Import and Export Ocean Shipments - Start to Finish
  • Documentation Completion for Ocean Freight Shipments and Customs submissions
  • Awareness of international shipping terminology
  • Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and create solutions in response to internal and external influencers
  • Coordination of tasks on shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, pre-alert processing, governmental filings, delivery execution, proper invoicing, and so on.
  • Report to the Ocean Freight Manager
  • CDS knowledge is required.
  • Computer literacy using Microsoft software and/or other market-leading software applications.

The right candidate will show initiative and have experience of the above.
