The Trainer Assessor will be occupationally competentand suitably qualified, they will be part of a team who is responsiblefor the delivery of our apprenticeship standards. The post holder willparticipate in the planning and delivery of a range of programmeswithin their area of expertise and this will include short courses,full qualifications and apprenticeships. They will be a key point ofcontact within the W2W team, offering support and guidance to ensuretheir apprenticeship programme is successful and employer needs aremet.
Key duties and responsibilities – responsible for

  • Planning and designing learning content across a variety differentmethod and platforms for AfC that meet Apprenticeship standards andrelated external body requirements
  • Delivering consistentlygood training and assessment within the curriculum through aneffective variety of teaching and learning activities.
  • Actively involved and supporting the recruitment and induction oflearners, meeting individual needs, accessing support where needed.
  • Carrying out practical assessments, providing the relevantpaperwork and record keeping in compliance with the awarding bodyrequirements.
  • Coordinating all elements of apprenticeshipStandards to achieve timely success.
  • Ensuring highstandards of Health & Safety at all times in accordance withregulations and AfC Policy, notifying the line manager or appropriatemanager of any risks.
  • Complying with agreed learnerretention, attendance and success measures in line with keyperformance expectations.
  • Supporting evaluation of currentprovision to inform future apprenticeship provision.
  • Providing an excellent customer experience to both the internal andexternal workforce
  • Attending meetings within AfC andexternal events as required.
    The post holder will be expected toundertake other duties commensurate with the grade of the post,including deputising or working flexibly across the week and locationsto meet the business demands.

    Education and training
    ⦁ Level 3 A1/CAVA/TAQAAward (Essential)
    ⦁ Certificate in Education & Training orequivalent (Essential)
    ⦁ Level 4 IQA/V1 (Desirable), InformationAdvice & Guidance – Level 4 (Desirable)
    Skills andexperience
    ⦁ Proven experience delivering and assessingapprenticeship standards including one or more of the following Earlyyears and Child Care.
    ⦁ The ability to develop and enhanceprogramme content and delivery methods that meet the requirements ofthe apprenticeship standard and awarding body requirements.
    ⦁ Ageneral understanding of Apprenticeship funding rules, requirementsand compliance.
    ⦁ Experience with Ofsted inspections of FurtherEducation & Skills.
    ⦁ Able to evidence Continuous ProfessionalDevelopment.
    ⦁ An excellent knowledge of British Values, Prevent,Equality & Diversity and Safeguarding.
    ⦁ Experience managing alarge caseload of apprentices, assessing and training cohorts oflearners simultaneously
    ⦁ Able to work collaboratively withcolleagues to deliver a shared outcome
    ⦁ Able to navigate andeffectively utilise the e-portfolio system (OneFile) or haveexperience of similar e-portfolio systems.
    ⦁ The experience toknow when and how to make interventions to ensure learner progress issuccessful and sustainable.
    ⦁ High ethical and professionalstandards with the ability to engage effectively with internal andexternal clients.
    ⦁ Experience of addressing specific equality ordiversity issues within your practice with colleagues/customers andtaking action to resolve them.
