Senior DevOps Engineer - Cryptocurrency DeFi Linux Python Go AWS Azure – EU/Remote

Location:  EU/Remote.

Our client is a pioneer in the crypto market making space, deploying medium and high frequency trading strategies and utilizing advanced algorithms and cutting-edge technologies to provide liquidity and optimize said trading strategies. With a commitment to innovation and a team of exceptional individuals, they are reshaping the future of finance. Due to ongoing growth, they require a Senior DevOps Engineer, comfortable working in alignment with EU time zones. The role is fully remote.
As primary DevOps Engineer for the firm’s European markets you will play a key part in building, deploying, and supporting cutting-edge systems responsible for executing millions of trades on various CeFi and DeFi venues across the globe. Maintain and improve global infrastructure with respect to high performance and reliability requirements.
Improve and update the security infrastructure of a widely distributed company that operates in a high-risk environment.
Engage and collaborate with other teams for system design discussions and improving DevOps processes.
you will keep abreast of changes to trading system features and deployment, providing guidance to developers looking to improve their application performance or reliability.
An SRE/DevOps Engineer with 5+ years’ experience with Linux systems in a high-performance environment.
Cloud management using Terraform, with experience in the AWS environment and ideally Azure.
Proficiency in Linux engineering and configuration management using Ansible.
A strong background in container management, deployment, and orchestration. Expanding internal deployment of a Prometheus/Grafana stack to improve observability will be an early project.
A strong baseline understanding of network principals - TCP/IP and host-level networking is expected. Knowledge of networking management and routing in a cloud environment is a plus.
Ideally, you’ll have experience with low-level performance tuning across physical hardware, cloud instances, and network latency. 
Cybersecurity: Cloud security & IAM policies. Network security & zero-trust principles. Must know how to secure Mac and Linux endpoints. Software supply chain security along with an understanding of vulnerability and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines.
Bachelor’s or master’s level degree in computer science, mathematics, or relevant field.
This role would be suited to an experienced DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer with exposure to Blockchain, DeFi, Web3 concepts and systems or, at least experience within a high-performance trading systems environment.
