Job Description – Senior DevOps Engineer
Overcast HQ has created Overcast Max which is an enterprise video management platform. Designed from scratch to be cloud-native, its micro-services and serverless architecture means it has the most modern architecture among its peers and is optimised for AWS cloud deployment and use of AWS services through a full-featured Restless API. It supports all known video file formats including many specialist bodycam and CCTV formats used by police and security forces. It is designed to be simple to use through a React frontend thus fulfilling Overcast's mission to make managing video as easy as managing Word documents.
After significant growth in 2023, Overcast is now looking to expand its development and DevOps teams. This role description is for a DevOps engineer who has a minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience and is looking to take on further responsibilities.

At Overcast HQ, DevOps is all about breaking down barriers between IT operations and development. We are a small team located in Dublin where we manage development, customer deployment, operations, and support.
Logging issues, monitoring progress, and keeping managers and customer-facing staff informed
Input DevOps design concerns into the development sprints and be a subject matter expert on AWS services, tools, and best practices.

A proven deep understanding of continuous delivery (CD) theory and concepts either through AWS Certification or proven experience e.g. 2 years of real-world application of these concepts in a DevOps position.
