Due to phenomenal growth and high demand, we have a brand-new opportunity for an experienced 'Events Logistics Manager’ to join our successful global logistics teams based in Hatfield. Reporting to the Head of Global Logistics, this role will see you oversee and manage the end-to-end logistics of exhibition projects, ensuring seamless delivery and execution. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong organisational skills and extensive experience in logistics management within the exhibition or events industry.

The role will be primarily operational with a mixture of office, and event site work. This is a varied role covering different aspects of the event business. Liaising with both event organisers, internal departments, and exhibitors.

Project management from organisers appointment, handling the full process from conception through to delivery to stands at a venue and return
Preparing event tariffs and shipping instructions
Working with logistics and exhibition partners around the world, and with carriers obtaining rate schedules, shipping dates for exhibitions.
Ensuring exhibition material is shipped as scheduled.
Point of contact for internal Operations, acting as a liaison between Events and Ops teams.
Working with internal departments, commercial and sales to target future clients, prospects
Assisting with event administration, data entry, receiving new orders, providing event information to customers.
Taking responsibility for dealing with customer enquiries via phone or email.
Ensuring that all customer bookings/orders are processed efficiently.
Good knowledge of import / export custom regulations and formalities
Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills
Computer skills’ including Excel / Word / Outlook - Intermediate level is a minimum
Driving licence - Clean

Exhibitions/events experience
Unloading/reloading trucks via tail lift, delivering goods to stands with pallet trucks
Custom formalities experience - both export from UK, Import into UK, any knowledge of international document requirements for overseas customs
The working hours can vary depending on the business requirements specific to an event. Early starts, late finishes and occasional weekend working is all part of working on events. International travel may be required.
