As a SEN Support Assistant specialising in challenging behaviour, your primary responsibilities will include: Providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, focusing on those with challenging behaviour. Implementing strategies and interventions to manage and de-escalate challenging situations effectively. Collaborating with teaching staff and other professionals to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitoring and recording progress, ensuring that individualised education plans are followed. Demonstrating a high level of resilience and consistency in managing challenging behaviour.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience: Previous experience working as a SEN Support Assistant, with a specific focus on challenging behaviour. Relevant qualifications in Special Education or related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. High level of resilience and consistency in supporting students with behavioural needs.Requirements: Full-time availability. Willingness to work in Wakefield and surrounding areas.
