About the role

The Wellbeing Counselling Service in Wales is a new project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund within our Services department. The service will be provided via Zoom and/or telephone; and will include:

  • development of a training resource for counsellors.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic counsellor to be involved in the project. Are you:

  • passionate about providing person centred support to vulnerable people and improving mental health outcomes.
  • a problem solver with good decision making and organisational skills.
  • a team player, with the ability to work flexibly.

If so, we want to hear from you. We are looking for people who have:

  • experience of delivering short-term counselling.
  • experience of providing person centred support to vulnerable people.
  • excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • the ability to work flexibly including evenings to ensure the smooth running of the service.
  • a professional work ethic: honest, conscientious, self-motivated, and reliable.

This part-time role (21 hrs a week across 3 days) is remote working. We offer great flexible working conditions and a range of employee benefits including a contributory pension plan, 28 days paid leave pro-rata, death in service benefit, and a commitment to develop your skills and provide necessary training.
