Job description

Overview: We are seeking a Governance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of governance-related activities within the organisation. Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience with a commitment to continuous professional development Previous experience in corporate governance, including minute taking at Board/Committee level, and knowledge of best practices in organising high-level meetings Proven ability to build credibility and establish effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Board/Committee members, management, and staff Strong track record in managing complex arrangements with precision, timeliness, and effectiveness, including handling multiple deadlines Proficient in producing accurate and professional minutes and delivering timely reports for corporate organisations Excellent communication skills, adept at handling sensitive information and communicating effectively across all organisational levels Understanding of the dynamics among Trust Chair, Chief Executive, Executive, and Non-Executive Directors, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to support effective leadership Capacity to exert influence to ensure objectives and deliverables are met Exceptional problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with keen attention to detail and fluency, as well as highly developed presentation skills and proficiency in IT, email, and MS Office applications. Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract

Pay: £16.95 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Education: Bachelor's (preferred) Experience: Governance Officer: 2 years (required) NHS framework: 2 years (required) Language: English (preferred) Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)
